Some of my Missy Contemporary hand sketches from an old design job at Newport News / Spiegel Catalog. Part of my job was to sketch a mock-up of the entire catalog by hand (the company was very "old skool" with no CAD sketches allowed). I remember sketching leather, fur, lace, full fashioned sweaters, wovens, knits, shoes, handbags, accessories and TONS of leopard print. And I remember that almost everything - from outerwear to swimwear - was sketched with a belt on top. Lol!
Oh! I remember something else.
All of the ladies drawn in the catalog had to be sketched with long, straight hair.
I thought that was funny.
